Digital News - Website Development and Branding Development
After our feedback from Helen, Ellie and myself worked on the website to make the changes she suggested. We got rid of the health patterned wallpaper and extended the branding logo across the page to fill it. We were previously advised to make our branding much more contemporary as it had a dated 80's LWT (London Weekend Television) atmosphere to it. Niki has worked very hard on the graphics to make them more contemporary and modern and I think they look a lot better and fit well with our Health Channel.
Here is what they look like on the website currently.
A difference can instantly be felt as it looks a lot more updated and not quite so blocky either. It has a more relaxed feel to it and the colours look a lot more calming as opposed to intense by having both as a heart beat monitor. I really like these designs and think they really bring our channel to life much more than they did before.
I have created a Facebook and Twitter page and also a Youtube page which all links up to the buttons on the menu bar. These are yet to have the updated branding added to them and this will be done as soon as they have been finalised and are 100% ready for publication.
Our Youtube page doesn't currently have any information on it as it is mainly video based. We will be 'broadcasting' our episode onto our youtube channel so that we can start a ball rolling and see if we can continue our news channel.
I also added the "Get Involved" page and created links through pictures to each organisations donation or funding page. I'm proud of how this has turned out and can't wait to see it with the new branding once it is finalised.
