Production: Schedule re-jig for February filming

After discovering that Susan, who plays Betty, had gotten the wrong date for filming in her diary, I needed to reschedule the filming dates in order to work around her double booking. The original filming date was supposed to be the Tuesday however I have now moved this to the Monday and swapped the filming with just Annie & Dean to the Tuesday in order to accommodate Susan's other work. 

 I also had to move around Liz's filming date, who plays Marie, as she had a hospital appointment come through and it collided with her chosen filming date. Her original filming date was Thursday however this has now been swapped to the Tuesday and the date with just Annie & Dean has now been moved to the Thursday.  

 As our actors for Annie & Dean are in everyday of filming, it wasn't a problem that the scenes to be filmed with just them were swapped around twice.  As the Producer I made sure that they were fully up to date with the schedule and knew what was happening when. It was important this was clear to them because of what costumes they would need to bring in and which scenes were being filmed. 

 After these changes had been made, I confirmed with everyone that they were happy with their dates and set it in concrete for the filming week. Below is the schedule for February's filming:

Fiction Adaptation: "Being British" by Deanna Rodger

I have chosen to adapt the poem " Being British " by Deanna Rodger.  From my understanding of the poem, it is about the challenges she has faced regarding interracial stereotyping and the struggle to be accepted as a British Citizen of natural birth.  Deanna is a spoken word poet and an international performer. Production: Producer's Role During Post-Production Research

As I am the Producer for Young & Famous and I am not editing the project, I understand that the Producer takes a step back from the post-production phase.  I have researched into what the Producer's role is throughout this stage as I was unsure if what I was doing was enough.  According to the Creative Skill set; a Producer's role throughout Post - Production is to keep in regular contact with the Director and editor, but to let them harness the footage and create the film.  As the Producer, this is their time to deal with all the finances of the film such as paying actors, marketing and liaising with the distribution companies to sell or exhibit the film and confirming edit or sound changes.  As we are not going to be distributing Young & Famous to big companies to sell, I focused on paying all of the actors their expenses and regularly coming into the edit suit for review meetings with Simon and Andrea.  I...
