Pre-Production: Considering Crew Members

During our shoot we will need a few extra crew members to help out and ensure the days run smoothly. We have selected the following crew positions to accompany us on our shoot. 

 Camera Assistant
We have chosen Andreya Bramble from Year 2 for this role as from her work and the references of others from her year she is very confident with camera work and all things technological! She will be a massive help to Nisserin when it comes to shooting multicam. 

 Runner
We have selected George Lock to be our Runner as he is enthusiastic and reliable.  This is proved in his work ethic and what he has produced so far. He will be a great help to all of our crew members, in particular myself as the Producer as he will be able to entertain cast when they are not needed as well as dress sets and prepare new scenes for us while we are busy filming other scenes. George will be a major part of our production, ensuring we are running as smoothly as possible. 

 Photographer
We are yet to find a suitable photographer for the day as we are unsure as to whether they are needed.  The reason for this is because we plan on having what we are calling 'Arnold Cam' which will be recording behind the scenes footage throughout the shoot that we will play in the credits and post to social media. 

 Makeup Artist
As we don't have any special effect makeup needs such as zombie makeup, we aren't certain we need one.  This is because all of our characters have natural looks which means they could do their own makeup and we can do touch ups if required.

Fiction Adaptation: "Being British" by Deanna Rodger

I have chosen to adapt the poem " Being British " by Deanna Rodger.  From my understanding of the poem, it is about the challenges she has faced regarding interracial stereotyping and the struggle to be accepted as a British Citizen of natural birth.  Deanna is a spoken word poet and an international performer. Production: Producer's Role During Post-Production Research

As I am the Producer for Young & Famous and I am not editing the project, I understand that the Producer takes a step back from the post-production phase.  I have researched into what the Producer's role is throughout this stage as I was unsure if what I was doing was enough.  According to the Creative Skill set; a Producer's role throughout Post - Production is to keep in regular contact with the Director and editor, but to let them harness the footage and create the film.  As the Producer, this is their time to deal with all the finances of the film such as paying actors, marketing and liaising with the distribution companies to sell or exhibit the film and confirming edit or sound changes.  As we are not going to be distributing Young & Famous to big companies to sell, I focused on paying all of the actors their expenses and regularly coming into the edit suit for review meetings with Simon and Andrea.  I...
