Fiction Adaptation: Casting Call Pro

I am struggling to find an actress for my piece so I have posted an advert on casting call pro in the hope that my piece will spark interest in the actors on their site. 

I was also speaking to Patricia today who has given me some numbers of the actresses she knows of who could possibly help me. Their names are: Adele, Coco and Keisha. I am going to contact them and ask if they would be interested and to send me a headshot, contact details like an email and a showreel if possible, to see if they would suit the part. Although I am desperate for an actress, I need to ensure that they are right for the part. 

 After a few days of the post being uploaded, I had two enquiries for the role. I decided to go ahead with Jo Asker as she fitted the role well and was clearly very passionate about the subject matter. 

After looking at her showreel I could see that she had lots of experience in acting which made me confident that she could perform the role well. I made sure to keep in contact with Jo throughout the process of scheduling shoot dates and had a phone call with her to discuss what it is I envision for the piece.

Fiction Adaptation: "Being British" by Deanna Rodger

I have chosen to adapt the poem " Being British " by Deanna Rodger.  From my understanding of the poem, it is about the challenges she has faced regarding interracial stereotyping and the struggle to be accepted as a British Citizen of natural birth.  Deanna is a spoken word poet and an international performer. Production: Producer's Role During Post-Production Research

As I am the Producer for Young & Famous and I am not editing the project, I understand that the Producer takes a step back from the post-production phase.  I have researched into what the Producer's role is throughout this stage as I was unsure if what I was doing was enough.  According to the Creative Skill set; a Producer's role throughout Post - Production is to keep in regular contact with the Director and editor, but to let them harness the footage and create the film.  As the Producer, this is their time to deal with all the finances of the film such as paying actors, marketing and liaising with the distribution companies to sell or exhibit the film and confirming edit or sound changes.  As we are not going to be distributing Young & Famous to big companies to sell, I focused on paying all of the actors their expenses and regularly coming into the edit suit for review meetings with Simon and Andrea.  I...
