Fiction Adaptation: Kent Film Office

I have contacted the Kent Film Office to ask for permission to shoot on Minster Beach and at the Sittingbourne Memorial statue on Central Avenue as they are public places and therefore need to make sure that I have permission for this. 


The location in Sittingbourne I have been to many times and therefore do not need to do a location recce as I know the area very well. I have a picture of where I want to shoot. It is very enclosed and therefore shouldn't provide an obstruction to the public. Some people do like to go there to read but as it is colder, I don't think many people will be going there. It was still necessary to get permission from KFO as it is right next to a road and the town's post office and police station which is frequently used.

Fiction Adaptation: "Being British" by Deanna Rodger

I have chosen to adapt the poem " Being British " by Deanna Rodger.  From my understanding of the poem, it is about the challenges she has faced regarding interracial stereotyping and the struggle to be accepted as a British Citizen of natural birth.  Deanna is a spoken word poet and an international performer. Production: Producer's Role During Post-Production Research

As I am the Producer for Young & Famous and I am not editing the project, I understand that the Producer takes a step back from the post-production phase.  I have researched into what the Producer's role is throughout this stage as I was unsure if what I was doing was enough.  According to the Creative Skill set; a Producer's role throughout Post - Production is to keep in regular contact with the Director and editor, but to let them harness the footage and create the film.  As the Producer, this is their time to deal with all the finances of the film such as paying actors, marketing and liaising with the distribution companies to sell or exhibit the film and confirming edit or sound changes.  As we are not going to be distributing Young & Famous to big companies to sell, I focused on paying all of the actors their expenses and regularly coming into the edit suit for review meetings with Simon and Andrea.  I...
