Dropout Presenter!

Unfortunately due to the change in timings for our location, our presenter Dave has had to drop out as he is busy in the afternoon of our shoot day. With this in mind, we have posted another advert on Casting Call Pro in the hope that someone will come forward and want to be a presenter for our Doc. I have done my best to make the advert as much of an exciting opportunity as possible by expressing that they will get to fly the birds of prey and understand them more also. Here is the advert:

As the most important thing about this documentary is the location, we have to put them as a priority over the presenter. I emailed Dave after I received the previous email from Jo to let him know. 





Although this is very inconvenient, at least we know now when we have time to create a back up plan and put more things into place. If it comes to it, the documentary will still work as a narrative without a presenter, however having a presenter will allow us to provide the audience with someone to follow along with the story. 

We need to just wait and see if any people come forward from Casting Call Pro.

Fiction Adaptation: "Being British" by Deanna Rodger

I have chosen to adapt the poem " Being British " by Deanna Rodger.  From my understanding of the poem, it is about the challenges she has faced regarding interracial stereotyping and the struggle to be accepted as a British Citizen of natural birth.  Deanna is a spoken word poet and an international performer. Production: Producer's Role During Post-Production Research

As I am the Producer for Young & Famous and I am not editing the project, I understand that the Producer takes a step back from the post-production phase.  I have researched into what the Producer's role is throughout this stage as I was unsure if what I was doing was enough.  According to the Creative Skill set; a Producer's role throughout Post - Production is to keep in regular contact with the Director and editor, but to let them harness the footage and create the film.  As the Producer, this is their time to deal with all the finances of the film such as paying actors, marketing and liaising with the distribution companies to sell or exhibit the film and confirming edit or sound changes.  As we are not going to be distributing Young & Famous to big companies to sell, I focused on paying all of the actors their expenses and regularly coming into the edit suit for review meetings with Simon and Andrea.  I...
