Location Recce & Test Shots

My group and I went to Doddington Place Gardens in the Easter Holidays to get an idea of the location and the possible places we could film. 

 We loved the lake garden as there were many flowers and some beautiful architecture that could make for some great filming opportunities. 

 We also visited the Hawking Centre to meet the people we will interview as well as the birds themselves to get comfortable to the surroundings as well as where we will film.
We have decided to film the flying of the birds in the silver tree garden because the location is very pretty plus we will be able to see the bird clearer when it is flying up and down. 

We took some test shots of the bird flying to see how difficult it would be on the day... It was very difficult! As the vulture flies, it moves very quick in take off but glides fairly slowly in mid flight. We had some issues with focusing so that is something we can work on for the day of the actual shoot.

Fiction Adaptation: "Being British" by Deanna Rodger

I have chosen to adapt the poem " Being British " by Deanna Rodger.  From my understanding of the poem, it is about the challenges she has faced regarding interracial stereotyping and the struggle to be accepted as a British Citizen of natural birth.  Deanna is a spoken word poet and an international performer. Production: Producer's Role During Post-Production Research

As I am the Producer for Young & Famous and I am not editing the project, I understand that the Producer takes a step back from the post-production phase.  I have researched into what the Producer's role is throughout this stage as I was unsure if what I was doing was enough.  According to the Creative Skill set; a Producer's role throughout Post - Production is to keep in regular contact with the Director and editor, but to let them harness the footage and create the film.  As the Producer, this is their time to deal with all the finances of the film such as paying actors, marketing and liaising with the distribution companies to sell or exhibit the film and confirming edit or sound changes.  As we are not going to be distributing Young & Famous to big companies to sell, I focused on paying all of the actors their expenses and regularly coming into the edit suit for review meetings with Simon and Andrea.  I...
