Props for Drama
Props for scenes 3-5
I have bought a foam brick to use in the mugging scene so that I will keep my actors safe from any harm during the scene and it will also make the scene look realistic and authentic. As it will be dark outside, you will not be able to tell that it is foam. From seeing the brick in Brendan's hand, it will immediately add tension to the scene which is something that I want to create.
This will be the laptop that Miranda will be using to work on during scene 5. I have chosen a Mac because she is an architect and therefore is paid well enabling her to afford a high tech laptop. Also lots of software that Apple makes, architects use.
There will be a wine glass on the coffee table for scene 3 when Brendan has taken the spare keys and has let himself into Miranda's house. I have chosen to have deep red wine (which I will substitute for Black current) because the red symbolises the danger that Miranda is in when dealing with Brendan. Also it shows how Brendan is confident and feels at home around Miranda's house as he is comfortable pouring himself a glass of wine.
Props for scenes 1-2
As it is a birthday party, Miranda will walk in with a bottle of champagne in a gift bag for David. Again, having champagne as the gift shows how she is financially stable and can afford a classy bottle of champagne.
