Shoot times - Drama


I have had a bit of a mare with my shoot times as I have found it incredibly difficult to find crew and actors for my drama Secret Smile. Originally, I planned to shoot Tuesday the 2nd February and Tuesday 9th February. The problem I found with this was that people were busy with other peoples projects or jus unavailable for those days to crew. As for the actors, I have only had one applicant for my character of Brendan Block. I have contacted actors asking them if they would be interested however as of yet, I haven't heard anything back from them. I have replied to my one applicant but I haven't heard from him either. I am going to broaden my search and email as many people as I can to get as many people talking as I can. 
I have had to change my shoot times to the 6th, 7th and 8th of February due to there not being a camera available for the dates that I want. This means that I will have 3 days to shoot instead of just two. So there is a silver lining! 
I have chosen to shoot at Cavendish Tea Rooms in Bearsted and at my house in Sittingbourne which will give me ease of access to film and I will be able to achieve the atmosphere and shots that I want.

Fiction Adaptation: "Being British" by Deanna Rodger

I have chosen to adapt the poem " Being British " by Deanna Rodger.  From my understanding of the poem, it is about the challenges she has faced regarding interracial stereotyping and the struggle to be accepted as a British Citizen of natural birth.  Deanna is a spoken word poet and an international performer. Production: Producer's Role During Post-Production Research

As I am the Producer for Young & Famous and I am not editing the project, I understand that the Producer takes a step back from the post-production phase.  I have researched into what the Producer's role is throughout this stage as I was unsure if what I was doing was enough.  According to the Creative Skill set; a Producer's role throughout Post - Production is to keep in regular contact with the Director and editor, but to let them harness the footage and create the film.  As the Producer, this is their time to deal with all the finances of the film such as paying actors, marketing and liaising with the distribution companies to sell or exhibit the film and confirming edit or sound changes.  As we are not going to be distributing Young & Famous to big companies to sell, I focused on paying all of the actors their expenses and regularly coming into the edit suit for review meetings with Simon and Andrea.  I...
