Expressive Dog Portraits By Austrian Photographer Anne Geier

Anne Geier produces beautiful portraits of dogs that tend to express a certain emotion or theme. They are visually stunning to look at with her use in colours and complimenting them perfectly with the dogs fur colours to create a certain ambiance and atmosphere.

Anne Geier is an Austrian photographer from a small town called Tauplitz. In 2007 she discovered her love and passion for photography when her dog Cindy came into her life. She says "The largest part for me is to capture the individual character of each animal in the picture".
This statement is important as when I come to film my self portrait, it is important for the audience to see the two different characters that I am trying to portray throughout the film. I think that Anne Geier portrays these characters through her use of colours and lighting, making her photos so expressive.

Colour is something that I will think about greatly when I am going to shoot and edit my film together as from these pictures I have learnt and understood the importance of it when it comes to expressing a certain emotion or theme.
