Fiction Adaptation: "Being British" by Deanna Rodger

I have chosen to adapt the poem " Being British " by Deanna Rodger.  From my understanding of the poem, it is about the challenges she has faced regarding interracial stereotyping and the struggle to be accepted as a British Citizen of natural birth.  Deanna is a spoken word poet and an international performer. Production: Producer's Role During Post-Production Research

As I am the Producer for Young & Famous and I am not editing the project, I understand that the Producer takes a step back from the post-production phase.  I have researched into what the Producer's role is throughout this stage as I was unsure if what I was doing was enough.  According to the Creative Skill set; a Producer's role throughout Post - Production is to keep in regular contact with the Director and editor, but to let them harness the footage and create the film.  As the Producer, this is their time to deal with all the finances of the film such as paying actors, marketing and liaising with the distribution companies to sell or exhibit the film and confirming edit or sound changes.  As we are not going to be distributing Young & Famous to big companies to sell, I focused on paying all of the actors their expenses and regularly coming into the edit suit for review meetings with Simon and Andrea.  I...

Professional Practice: Placement Day 10

On my final day working with Twenty Twenty, I was told that the hotel I had found for First Dates Hotel 2 was the one they had confirmed with Channel 4!  They had taken the commissioner out to see it and apparently she really liked it and they have sealed a deal with the hotel to come and shoot out there for 5 weeks.  I am not allowed to say where the hotel is or what it is called as it has not been released into the public as of yet and the deal could fall through if the news spread.  Kirsty said about me going with them when they go out to film to be a runner on the show as I was the one who found the hotel for them.  This was truly something I was not expecting but I am so excited about being given this experience!   The CEO to say thank you bought me flowers, chocolates and a card for the work I had done and was presented these by Kirsty, which again came as a surprise to me as I wasn't expecting anything for essentially doing my jo...
