Production: Tutorial Notes

Now we are in the edit phase, we have had regular tutorials with Simon and Andrea who have given us feedback on how to improve Young & Famous.   As the Producer I wrote all the notes down for the editor and helped create a plan to resolve any issues there may be.  Our first was on the 21st March: Simon Feedback Tutorial – 21/03/18 Need to see Marie on scene 1 after the Boss says 'Marie' Move to Marie quicker after 'sweets are natural' Need to see Dean when Annie says 'are you listening to me?' Fiction Adaptation: "Being British" by Deanna Rodger

I have chosen to adapt the poem " Being British " by Deanna Rodger.  From my understanding of the poem, it is about the challenges she has faced regarding interracial stereotyping and the struggle to be accepted as a British Citizen of natural birth.  Deanna is a spoken word poet and an international performer. She has had achievements such as being awarded " Elle's " UK " 30 inspirational women under 30 " as well as The Female Lead 's " 20intheir20s " and Cosmopolitan's  " No.1 trailblazing woman ".  She is also a well known poetry grand slam champion and does in fact host her own poetry competitions such as; Chill Pill  and Come Rhyme with me.  Deanna lends out her poetry for educational purposes and evidence of this is seen on her website: https://deannarodger.co.uk/deanna-biography/ I have chosen to adapt "Being British " because I think it will give me a challenge to create a realistic drama out of Dea...

Professional Practice: Placement Day 10

On my final day working with Twenty Twenty, I was told that the hotel I had found for First Dates Hotel 2 was the one they had confirmed with Channel 4!  They had taken the commissioner out to see it and apparently she really liked it and they have sealed a deal with the hotel to come and shoot out there for 5 weeks.  I am not allowed to say where the hotel is or what it is called as it has not been released into the public as of yet and the deal could fall through if the news spread.  Kirsty said about me going with them when they go out to film to be a runner on the show as I was the one who found the hotel for them.  This was truly something I was not expecting but I am so excited about being given this experience!   The CEO to say thank you bought me flowers, chocolates and a card for the work I had done and was presented these by Kirsty, which again came as a surprise to me as I wasn't expecting anything for essentially doing my jo...
