7D Camera Workshop With Fergus

Today we learnt how to operate the 7D Camera with Fergus. I felt so much more confident working with this camera because it was very similar to what I have used in the past at School and home. 

 Ferg set us the task of creating a music video with the 7D camera to get used to filming with a smaller camera and to put into practice the ISO and the Exposure of light when filming. 

 We got into groups and my group created a spoof of "Hello" by Adele. This was a lot of fun to create and allowed me to build up more confidence on the camera as well as in editing. 

 I don't think that I will be using the 7D camera for my Drama piece however I am considering using the 7D for my Self Portrait as their is hardly any need for sound. The 7D lacks in retaining great audio when filming therefore I think that the 7D will be a great camera to use for my Self Portrait as it is much more portable and creates some really beautiful images.

Fiction Adaptation: "Being British" by Deanna Rodger

I have chosen to adapt the poem " Being British " by Deanna Rodger.  From my understanding of the poem, it is about the challenges she has faced regarding interracial stereotyping and the struggle to be accepted as a British Citizen of natural birth.  Deanna is a spoken word poet and an international performer. Production: Producer's Role During Post-Production Research

As I am the Producer for Young & Famous and I am not editing the project, I understand that the Producer takes a step back from the post-production phase.  I have researched into what the Producer's role is throughout this stage as I was unsure if what I was doing was enough.  According to the Creative Skill set; a Producer's role throughout Post - Production is to keep in regular contact with the Director and editor, but to let them harness the footage and create the film.  As the Producer, this is their time to deal with all the finances of the film such as paying actors, marketing and liaising with the distribution companies to sell or exhibit the film and confirming edit or sound changes.  As we are not going to be distributing Young & Famous to big companies to sell, I focused on paying all of the actors their expenses and regularly coming into the edit suit for review meetings with Simon and Andrea.  I...
