First Edit

When I digitised my footage I noticed that my sound wasn't great. It came across very quiet and was difficult to hear what the characters were saying. I adapted the volume in Adobe Audition however i found that this created a static noise in the background. I need to work on removing the static noise and maintain the level of volume that was edited.

This was my first edit of "Jimmy's War".

After showing this to Simon and Fergus I received helpful and constructive feedback on how to improve the tailer further. They said that I had successfully told the story through the film and that an audience would definitely understand what the script would be about however it was very linear. I need to be more creative with the plot line that i show. At the moment it looks very much like the first two minutes of the film as opposed to a trailer. In order to improve this I need to think about adding in music and title sequences. To highlight the backstory of the War, it was suggested that I could add in some archive footage of WW1 to add an emotional and more dramatic connection to the characters and the audience.

I will add these changes and hopefully improve my trailer!
