An Exhibition on WW1 : Story Telling Unit - Project Research
Research into WW1 Battles 1914 = Stories That ‘Jimmy’ Might Tell as a WW1 Soldier.
When wandering about in town, i stumbled upon an exhibition for WW1 and decided to look around as it fitted in perfectly with my idea for the screenplay. Here is a selection of photos from the exhibition which caught my eye and interested me. The time line has given me inspiration for some of the stories that Jimmy could tell throughout the screenplay to my protagonist character Rylee. I have researched further into the individual battles of 1914 and the written detail below contains the details of when Britain fought in the battles. I found this important because it was relative to my project and character development.
So how was this useful to me?
This exhibition was incredibly useful to my understanding because i have been able to develop Jimmy's character further and gain a deeper understanding of the context of the character's past. I have also found this exhibition very insightful to the many individual battles that went on throughout the war, which i hadn't initially realised existed!
